The Briar Patch by
green_grrl is the story written for me for this year's Jack/Daniel ficathon. Everyone, go read an excellent story where Daniel is kidnapped yet again but all is not as it seems. :)
My dad had to have his blood tests repeated; apparently his blood is "too thick." Googling that sends me down a rabbit hole of terrible cancers with thick blood as a symptom, so I am not doing that anymore. At any rate, that means diagnosis is yet again delayed. Results will be 3-5 business days.
I have had a super productive day. I've been in bed at eleven every night since Friday. I've started kind of a bullet journal documenting some life changes I'm trying to make. I'm really inspired by my sister-in-law who has lost a significant amount of weight this spring, a colleague's wife who has done the same, and my dad who is facing a lot of life changes. So far, I'm feeling pretty good and pretty proud of myself.
Josh got into grad school! Thank the baby Jesus that is happening. Dealing with admissions has kinda been a nightmare. Now we just have to hope he gets into the two classes he needs so he can apply to the program for the spring.
