Give me a Harry Potter prompt

One of my goals for this year is to write fic that's not for Yuletide. Since I just finished re-reading the whole HP series, it seems a shame not to make some of that fic HP.

So, I'm curious: What's the HP fic you'd love to read but have never seen in the wild? Any pairing (or gen), any plot, any point in canon.

Prompt me (and be as detailed as you like).

I can't promise I'll write all the prompts I get, but I hope to be inspired (or at the very least, talk to y'all about Harry Potter LOL).

Ooooh, that would be very interesting. There are little nods to his fear of spiders that are continually mentioned even up to the last book.

Yeah, that Unbreakable Vow is nightmare fuel. Although I don't so much blame Fred and George for that particular incident because pushing boundaries and messing around with serious stuff they don't understand is pretty common for kids to do. For me, the horror of the Wizarding World (and this is going to make me sound like a justification for Magneto's approach to life) is the almost limitless power. Muggles can be as angry as they want and they can think anything they want and rail all they want in their heads, but if they want to hurt someone they have to deliberately choose to do that. Magic and thought are so inextricably intertwined that it removes that filter; a magic user's thoughts become manifest. It's a scary thing.

Testing potions on young students to see the effects for gags... Fred and George had way more power than you want pranksters to have.
