My parents watched Babylon 5, and I'm certain I watched it with them, but I have zero memories of doing so.

If you have a bunch of TV watching time, I recommend it. Half the fans say start at season 2, half say start at season 1. I'm a season 2er, myself.

And it is extremely weird watching Pavel being Evil. In a fantastic kind of weird.

I bet he does a good evil! I always wished that the cast of Trek beyond Shatner had gone on to do a lot of other roles, so I'm glad to hear that Walter Koenig did at least some acting in other shows.

SQUAWK! I knew Chekov's actor was on Babylon 5 in *some* capacity, but not how, and as all the input is audio for me, I didn't recognize him without Pavel's accent! I repeat, SQUAWK! Dang, he *does* do a good evil. Rather terrifyingly good, IMO.

... My head hurts. O.O

Edited to add: I'll raise my voice in support of starting B5 from season 1. I am an admittedly devoted season 1 fan. My write-in vote in the first half of the poll above tells a tale.

If I watch it, I will watch it from the beginning. I can't pick up stuff in the middle or pick episodes or seasons to start with (even if it means watching that horrible first season of SG1 LOL).
