lunabee341. It was overcast and cool today. Highlights of the great outdoors included the juvenile hawk squawking bloody murder and an enormous red-headed woodpecker knocking off huge swathes of bark from a tree in the side yard.
2. Josh made chicken soup (broth from a whole chicken made in the instant pot, the meat of the chicken, mushrooms, black rice, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, fish sauce, coconut milk, lime, scallion and serrano pepper).
3. No new Power Rangers Beast Morphers this weekend. *cries*
4. It was the series finale of Henry Danger last night. Fiona got to stay up past her bedtime to watch it. I generally do not like the Nick and Disney tweenager shows, but Henry Danger is an exception. It is genuinely funny to me, and I think the cast is really talented.
I absolutely love that Henry sacrifices himself for Captain Man, that Captain Man admits he was wrong, that Henry tells Captain Man he loves him (I cried a little, okay? You would have cried a little, too), and that Jasper gets to save the day multiple times. Not gonna lie, I would 100% watch the hell out of Jasper, Henry, and Charlotte going to cyberpunk college in Dystopia and fighting crime in their new Mad Max get ups.
5. Tomorrow will be interesting. I'll have a bunch of grading to do, Josh still has two preps to put online (one down!), and Fiona has her stuff to do. We'll see how that goes. *crosses fingers*

Date: 2020-03-24 07:08 pm (UTC)I get that. I have layers of anxiety. On one hand, I'm used to social distancing since I only go out for food and doctor's appointments already. On another hand, the economy and the nation may totally fall and we may return to a barter society and I haven't got a thing to barter. Okay, that's a bit far out but I was looking into buying one of those water filtration straws in case the water turns bad. I can't carry cases of water in from the bus, I just can't physically do it. I'm dependant on tap water.
So yeah, worry. I think we got this though. That is if the guy in the White House doesn't mess us up.
