I was really skeptical about my institution but I have to give them props for last year. Because all of our classrooms were socially distanced and because of the mask mandate, transmission was really low. I'm afraid of what this year will be like now that we're all back in classrooms with no socially distancing and no masks.

I worry about Fiona, too. Her school was "socially distancing" and "wearing masks" last year but like in the most in name only way. I think the only reason her school was fine is that 5-7 year olds are extremely resilient and that age group has statistically been okay (with exceptions and lord do I not want her to end up one of them).
