Goodbye, 2021

And now for a bit of navel gazing.
My goals for 2021 were the following:
1. Read at least 100 books; this must include at least two Ouida books that I haven't read before.
2. Submit at least one piece of scholarly work for possible publication.
3. Write at least 2 fics of at least 1000 words that aren't for Yuletide.
4. Focus on getting through as much of the to-be-read Ouida research that I've been amassing over the past couple of years as possible.
5. Continue to focus on mental health and personal growth.
And I did shit at most of them. I met my reading goal by numbers, but I didn't read any new Ouida books. I did not submit anything for publication although I did present papers at conferences, national and international (so not just the usual local and regional fare). I didn't write any fics that weren't for Yuletide. I did some work on getting through the Ouida research in spring semester, so I give myself half marks for that one. I did so-so on the last one. I give myself high marks for the first half of the year and dwindling marks for the second.
Goals for 2022
1. Read 100 books.
2. Read 2 Ouida books.
3. Redesign all my courses to require no textbook.
4. Lower cholesterol significantly.
5. Submit 1 scholarly publication.
