I started watching Hallmark holiday movies last year because my mom was and it was amazing to see how many of the actors I recognized from my shows, especially the sci fi/fantasy ones.

Janisse is amazing. I was so lucky to be able to meet her and spend time with her at her farm and to have connections to her through people who became close to her when she was Writer-in-Residence at Ole Miss. I deeply respect and admire her.

I love Kavan Smith and Lorne, but I'm not into Lorne/Parrish and it kills me because there's so much of it out there. But his Hallmark movies are so much fun!

He makes a great romantic lead. Apparently he's on one of their series too, and one or two of the movies are with his romantic match on the series he's on? Which I haven't seen, but could conceivably start watching and ignore until his scenes are on.

Clearly we need to start posting more about his Hallmark Channel activities!

The Hallmark Channel employs a lot of Canadian sff actors. Teryl gets a lot of work with them too.

My only regret is the ridiculous heteronormativity of all their series. But otherwise, hey, keep employing my Canadian favorites! It's good drama, at least.
