traveller NC-17 Oh, this is wonderful and gritty. The boys fighting and fighting and pushing and then fighting for each other instead of against. Yis, yis, this is super hot.
Beautiful: the first in the venom series byaudrarose NC-17 The other installments are linked at the bottom of each post. This series is supposed to have five pieces and only has four (and I’m uncertain if it will ever be finished); so, it’s a little disappointing to get to that fourth chapter and be denied the resolution of an ending. *however* this fic is hot. OMG OMG OMG hot, with makeup and voyeurism and vampires and this overwhelming level of desire that pretty much drips down your screen. Which sounds kinda gross. But trust me. This fic hits my "line my eyes and call me pretty" kink really hard.
Angels we Have Heard byaudrarose Sam/Dean Adult Another Christmas fic (man am I a sucker for those, apparently) and Dean has a song stuck in his head. This is very sweet, and the song the author chooses very appropriate.
Landmarks byestrella30 How each of the boys marks the time, remembers what he’s seen, what he’s lost, and what he’s found again.
Carry me over the Sky bykillabeez Adult Guh. I think that about sums it up. LOL This is the boys in the aftermath of “Crossroads” and it’s needy and desperate and oh so painfully right.
Mapping the Tides byhalfshellvenus Distanced from Sam by loss and grief, Dean fights the realization that he needs Sam far too much. When morning comes, Dean wakes to the warmth of his brother against his side. Sam exhales slowly against his skin, setting up a tingling that rises in Dean’s neck and flutters all the way down to his toes. Sam’s arm is across Dean’s waist, and even though it’s reflex or accident it still feels like a kind of promise. It makes Dean ache for something he’ll never have, something he isn’t even allowed to actually want. Still, he turns his head helplessly until his forehead rests against his brother’s hair. It’s only for a moment, and Sam will never even know.
And The Midget Was the Baby Daddy byhansbekhart AHAHHAHAHAAHHAHHA Sam and Dean are trapped in a closet and only the power of R. Kelly lyrics can save them.
A Thousand Cranes bymikhale Sam/Dean Sam and Dean fold cranes in order to make a wish for their father.
Signs and Symptoms byemma_daisy Sam’s visions become harder and harder to deal with. This hits my h/c button hard.
Road to Shambalala by Astolat Neither of them can deny what’s happening between them, and Dean’s scared. Scared that Sam will leave. Scared that he won’t. This is one of my favorite fics that I’ve read in the fandom. Astolat just gets it right—the fear they feel at starting something with each other (which is not overdone) and the overwhelming relief and inevitability when they do.
Life Among the Dead bydestina Adult The pacing in this piece is so lovely, so wonderfully measured. I really feel like the writer captures those moments of intimacy between the boys, those tiny little nothing moments that are so meaningful, so telling of personality. I feel like the thoughts Destina puts in their heads are thoughts my versions of these characters would think.
A little SPN filk byexecutrix This is really, really funny.
Vow byveronamay Adult This is really hot. Really, really really hot. I hesitate to call it PWP, because there is plot and I think the sex is indicative of character and the sex *means* something. But OMG!hot. Dean has taken a vow of chastity. Whatever are the Winchester boys to do?
The Atheist Christmas Carol bymusesfool This genfic is really a wonderful read. It’s a Winchester Christmas with Sam and Dean, the two of them celebrating, if not the holiday, then having each other. Very, very sweet.
