This fic is really freaking hot, but it's also more than just the fulfillment of every tattoo-kink fantasy I could ever have for this fandom--it's also a great exploration of character. Sam's motivation for being tattooed in the first place and the tattoos he chooses are really indicative of character. So is Dean's response once he finds them. Really good read.

dontyouwaitup Adult This is a two parter with the second part linked from this page. I absolutely adored this piece. It was atmospheric, with this vague malevolence that shrouds the town where the boys end up after they leave the inn in "Playthings." This hits high on my angst meter and also my h/c meter. I'm not doing the fic justice with this description, I don't think. Suffice it to say that this piece feels like it could belong in canon to me--with a well-thought out supernatural event and the boys trying to deal with the promise Dean made Sam and their feelings for each other.

belyste Adult This is the missing scene from “Tall Tales.” Bitchy, snarky, pissy sex and oh, the dialogue. LOVE LOVE this piece. Feels like a snippet of canon they simply forgot to include.

I love seeing Hendrickson's gradual acceptance of the things he can't understand, and the way that he immediately acknowledges Jo's power. I also really like the notion of Sam and Dean building up a nationwide network of people who are loyal, who know nothing except, "You boys saved me life, my kid's life, etc." Really powerful story.

Parts of Speech by

mona1347 Dean-centric. After Sam leaves, Dean has to learn to speak again. The narrative is so cleverly constructed and each little vignette packs such an emotional punch that I don't think you'll soon forget this piece.
