International Day of Femslash: I'm Your Man by charmax76
This vid is seriously perfect. If you read or watch nothing else that I rec in this post, you should definitely take a look at this one. It is a glorious mish mash of the female characters we love to slash from no less than a dozen sources. Oh, Gina Torres, how I <3 when you kiss that window.

SG-1

Untitled Vala snippet by [livejournal.com profile] troyswann; Gen
This is oh so short but it packs a wallop for all its brevity. This conversation takes place during "Beachhead" and what it reveals is such a lovely and sharply insightful vision of Vala's character that I'm really jealous I didn't write it.

Either this is untitled as well or it's called Speaking of Vala by [livejournal.com profile] troyswann; Gen
This piece is a little longer than the previous, but not by much. Again we get a sort of drive-by revelation concerning Vala's character in the form of a conversation she has with Daniel. I am very impressed with this writer's ability to mine so deeply into character in such a short space.

The Weight of Non-Existant Years by [livejournal.com profile] beatrice_otter; Teal-centric gen
Again, with the fist to the jaw in 700 words or less. This is Teal'c in the aftermath of "Unending"--all the things he knows and can never say.

Five People Who the Press Won't Care About When the Stargate Program Goes Public (and the reasons why the Atlantis expedition wouldn't have made it without them) by [livejournal.com profile] fiercelydreamed and [livejournal.com profile] shaenie; Gen
Every sci-fi show worth its salt does the outsider perspective episode; I am reminded very fondly of the TNG ep that's centered around the junior officers that gives us a really interesting perspective on the senior staff. Even Felger gets his day or two on SG-1. I have been waiting to no avail for SGA to do this kind of episode, so thank goodness we have fic to go there for us. We have never heard of any of these people, but like the title suggests, they are what make Atlantis possible.

Five Authors Who Didn't Write Stargate Atlantis by [livejournal.com profile] rhymer23; Gen
I don't think I have words that are awesome enough to describe this fic. Not only do the SGA characters stay in character, they manage to do so from the Hundred Acre Wood to Mrs. Bennett's drawing room. This is seriously good stuff, y'all.

4 Who Got the Job, 1 Who Didn't b [livejournal.com profile] 2ndary_author; Gen
Holy crap this five things challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic has yielded some super awesome fic. These are interviews for new personnel for the Atlantis expedition and I love love love love seeing the job and the first wave through the eyes of the uninitiated.

Teyla as Kim Possible vid by kuroima13
Not necessarily the best crafted vid, but certainly very fun to watch.

McKay Mole Rap by stargategeek
Because Ron and Rufus rule! LOL This is just silly of the best kind. And Teyla is still KP, because, duh!

SGA Ghostbusters by Phenix00princess
This vid is very well made; I think the footage used is superb and the editing really well done. Makes me smile.
