I forgot the actual wording of this meme, but I've made a list of 15 characters. Comment with a scenario (3 and 7 want a dog; what kind do they buy?), and I'll elaborate.

SOOOOOOO BORED!!!! I can't watch BSG until Josh gets back from Daxton's, and I am on the edge of my seat. The edge! The frakking edge! Don't spoil me, please, but I am dying to know if Jamie Bamber really gained all that weight or if it's costuming. I am also dying to know what could possibly have prompted that life change for his character, but I'm guessing we'll find out tonight.

[Also, I am totally going to just answer these in comments, so don't read the comments if you don't want to know who the characters are. LOL]

Hahaha oh man, Brian and Pamela? That would be an epically awesome road trip. Jo doesn't know what she's gotten herself in for!

Oh man, Roslin and Adama! How awesome were they? About the only criticism I could think of is that they're both so hard-nosed. But I guess they have to be.

Dude, I know! Those two would have FUN, the kind that is awesome right up until you get arrested. LOL

I adore Roslin and Adama. I am on pins and needles waiting to see what happens next. This show is killing me, Ariadne. I can't read fic; I can't even go look for icons for fear of spoiling myself, but I can't wait to jump headlong into this fandom. Headlong.

I never made it past the first season because the angst/nihilism was too much for me(although I know generally what happens in the rest of the show, mainly via fanvids and reaction posts). I'm sure you're reveling in it.

Oh! I almost forgot you haven't finished watching yet. I will keep my mouth shut except to say: Roslin and Adama FTW!

I am. I am wallowing knee deep in it. But it's not unremitting angst. I don't think I could watch it if it were. There are some beautiful moments of joy and pure love between the characters that make it worth my while.

I have already told Josh that if everybody's dead and they all hate each other at the end that our marriage is over. He just smirks at me, the little shit.

It was Starbuck that did me in. I just cannot watch women self-destruct; it's too painful.

I guess that's why I'm drawn to manpain LOL

Josh and I have just been arguing about this very subject. We're two discs into season 3, and I just don't see Starbuck as much of a frakup as the men on the show want me to believe she is. Half the time when Lee is riding her ass and telling her she's screwing up, I'm not so sure she is. Like he belittles her six ways to Sunday for sleeping with Baltar after the presidential elections. At that point, nobody knows he's a collaborator. I'm sure they all think he's nuts because he keeps talking to himself, but they don't know what he's done. So a grown woman sleeping with a grown man under consenting conditions that hurt no one becomes Starbuck is a fuckup in Lee's mind because he's in love with her and it pisses him off. (Which as much as that scene made me mad, I also love the way Lee loves Starbuck, so six of one half dozen of the other). Or when she's made CAG on Pegasus and the new Commander calls Lee over to "deal with her" and makes out like she's fucking up, which Lee totally buys, but what's really going on is that the commander's ordered her soldiers to screw around with her and not give her vital info. It's like she's spitting into the wind and getting blamed for the weather.

That being said, she's impulsive and cocky and she uses booze to fix everything and she just *sob* gave up on her marriage, I think, but I can't hardly blame her because she has PTSD and is so angry.

LOL I am too invested in this show.

It's not that I think she's a frakup, it's more like... I know that other people see her as a frakup, so whenever she does something that I *know* is going to be taken the wrong way I just yell "Noooooooo!" and look away from the screen. Because... oh Starbuck, no!

Sleeping with Baltar was so dumb, not because Lee wanted her first but because she *obviously* wanted him too, but she went home with the wrong guy. As someone who's done that, it really made me cringe, because I know how horrible it makes you feel.

And the self-medicating with booze, along with the constant self-flagellation is just... I love Starbuck but I CANNOT STAND TO WATCH HER OMG. Too painful, too close to home. And she keeps digging *herself* in deeper when other people are only too happy to do it for her.

STARBUCK, STOP BEING SO MEAN TO MY BB STARBUCK!
