Shortly, LJ will go down for scheduled maintenance for approximately two hours. Whatever will we do in those hours of forced disconnection?

Feel free to spread the word. Much like Fivel gazing out of his window and knowing that somewhere out there his family looks up at the same moon, I like the thought of all us engaged simultaneously in the awesomeness of making more fic.

I don't remember us talking before the past few days. What brought you over this way, if you don't mind me asking? (I always enjoy meeting new fandom people!)

I've been putting together smaller fandom recs and I loved your Die Hard, and where there's smoke sometimes there's fire so of course I had to check out your other writing. It is some darn fine scribing!

I have a professional background in writing along with just being a pretty fussy consumer of reading material, so I really appreciate fandom authors who have a genuine grasp of good storytelling and a solid literary voice.

I try and friend folks along those lines- or if they are terrifically silly.

Well, welcome to the crazy train! I haven't been writing nearly as much as I'd like to lately which is pretty much a bummer, but hopefully I'll be done with my dissertation soon and then I can play all the time again.

I do not envy you. Such a totally bad-ass undertaking. Props like mad to you, though.

I'm coming up on the end of the zaniest BS ever at a non-tradiional SUNY school- basically I'm getting a degree in talking about American pop culture like an anthropologist.

And- of course!- I am going intoa field that has nothing to do with that. Irony is the Real spice of life, yo.
