Seeking the advice of the interwebs

We have a friend who is a Vietnamese citizen, and we'd like to help her immigrate to America, but we're not really sure how to help her with this process (and neither is she). Does anyone have any advice or resources you can point us to? I think we may have located a job for her, and we're willing to help with expenses, but I'm not really sure how to go about this. I know you can get a Visa for being a student; what about for work?

Date: 2012-02-22 07:25 pm (UTC)My husband met Than on AOL chat about ten years ago, and they've been emailing and chatting and talking on the phone since then; she has a very difficult life (her mother just underwent extensive surgery and is not doing very well; if she dies, Than will be entirely alone), and I wish we could do something besides send her money.
I really really appreciate you taking the time to comment and pointing me to some resources. Thank you.
