1. The migraine is gone! I attribute this to all your well wishes in conjunction with my BFF M coming to witch doctor me up and anoint me with oils on Friday. I woke up Saturday headache free. :)

2. Emma is clearing out her room *sob*, so I have two coloring books free to good home: one is called Detailed Designs and Patterns and the other is Dot-to-Dot Therapy. Let me know if you want them, and I'll shoot them to you media mail.

3.

When True Night Falls (The Coldfire Trilogy, #2)When True Night Falls by C.S. Friedman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The first half of this book drags for me, but when Hesseth, Damien, and Tarrant find Jenseny, it picks up and is a nail-biter until the end.

I really, really love the dramatic changes that both Damien and Tarrant go through; the evolution of their relationship is fascinating.

But Hesseth is my favorite, and her loss hurts. :(

Hooray for no migraine! Wow, those Friedman books were a rollercoaster ride...I culled them, though, since I didn't think I would reread.

I'm so glad you're migraine free!!!

If no one else had claimed the coloring books I'll take them, with thanks.

I'm drawing a blank on the kindness of strangers query. Though I'd include getting something unexpected in the mail that made me smile on the list. *g*

I've got berries on the mind because I've been picking them on our walks, so I'm thinking of what I'm going to do with them. The cobbler I made last year was good so I'm going to try that again. But I'll need to come up with more options because we've discovered So Many bushes (for lack of a better word) and we are going to be inundated with berries this year. I can't wait! So, anyway, I'm rec'ing that you try a fresh berry cobbler. (I use Bob's Red Mill 1-to-1 baking flour.)

That's awesome, thank you! No rush!

I've got to dig out the recipe I used last year (first time I ever made it) so I'm prepared when I have a ton of berries to use. *g*

4. A restaurant server (male) once replaced my drink, no charge, after I (foolishly) went to the restroom while dining alone and found that it tasted weird when I sat down again. I would've paid--only asked for another one. Being believed without question that it tasted weird was unexpectedly pleasant--kind of him.

So glad the migraine didn't last long! Do you know what kind of oils they used? Always glad for some tips.

I imagine it's difficult watching your fledgling getting ready to fly! Just remember you've done a great job being her Mom and that counts for a lot.

I've got a reading list a mile and a half long and I just bought another book. I try to tell myself I'm buying them while on sale but if I don't read them are they really a bargain?

I get strangers telling me I have nice hair all the time. It's a real pretty auburn color I have to admit. Like shiny pennies.

As for a rec, since you're head is better, have some headbanging music. Ghost Love Score by Nightwish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYjIlHWBAVo

Homemade oil blends are the best. I'm glad M is helping you!

I'm lucky so far, my hair hasn't got a hint of grey in it yet.

Let me know if you like it! <3

Hyaluronic Acid is heavily featured in most great skincare products anymore but it's fabulous to take internally as well as it's good for all your tissues besides skin and your eyes.

I recommended it to MG and we could see a marked difference in the psoriasis that's only isolated to the back of his hands overnight.

Seconding Forever.

A lot of it was filmed in my neighborhood. My favorite moment is a scene on Avenue A, a block from my apartment, where they insist that there are no banks in this particular neighborhood, and you can see the Chase Bank sign right behind the person who's speaking. But aside from that faux pas, I just loved it.

The funny thing is, that branch of Chase closed a few years later.

4) As a little girl, I got my hand trapped in a newspaper dispensing machine. It was crushing agony, and I couldn't either close the machine enough to get it to take coins to open or pull my hand out. Strangers stopped to try to help. One ran into a nearby store to buy a Swiss army knife to use to pry at the machine, and another ran to buy ice for my hand after we got it out. I don't remember any of their faces now, but I remember their kindness.

My partner read the Castor ones recently, but he thought they might be too dark to appeal to me. I should try The Girl with All The Gifts, though.

I've seen the movie of Girl, so I'm conveniently spoiled for the darkness, but that is why I haven't given it a try yet.

Koli/Ramparts is in a long-past apocalyptic world, which is pretty cool. There's some dark stuff, but a lot of goodness and found family too.
