First I have to rec my glorious gifts, in alphabetical order:

By Heart
Locked Tomb
Abigail/Magnus/Ortus

This is utterly delightful. It captures everything I love about each of these three characters, it has excellent humor, and it's also very hot.

Enharmonic
Coldfire Trilogy
Gen

Another delight in which Tarrant plays the piano and Hesseth is discomfited by human ways and Damien has a moment of insight about Tarrant; it's a missing scene character study that is deftly drawn.

Now for some other things I've been enjoying:

Mayhem: The Chitauri Invasion
Allstate Insurance Mayhem Commercials
Just imagine what insurance would have to cover in the MCU. Then imagine Mayhem trying to sell it to you.

This is truly inspired. Whoever wrote this is a genius.

New perspectives on Chaucer’s Aldris: Editor’s introduction
Legend of Good Women--Chaucer, Beowulf

Excerpts from a book that doesn't exist about a text that doesn't exist. And now I really would like to read both. LOL Again, genius.

Okay, this officially sucks. Because we travel over the holidays, I can't do Yuletide reading like I want to until we get back and then it's almost time to go back to work and my interest wanes. I only made it through the first of the D's in the archive, and I doubt I'll do any more reading there for a long time. *sad face* Do you think my family will accept that as a valid excuse not to come home for Christmas?

This is Damien and Tarrant in the aftermath of the series and it is truly a lovely read.

What an interesting bit of Welsh history and of characterization for Bran.

Bran starts to remember.

Dark is Rising Bran/Will
Besotted. Wee tad anachronistic with the language but yayness!

Three From the Track by Aria
Dark is Rising
I love this slice of pre-canon life of Merry with the Drews. Reads like straight out of the novels.

Loving Bonds by Elizabeth Culmer
Dark is Rising; Blodwen Rowlands gen
What a masterpiece, truly, to make Blodwen a real and actualized character, three dimensions and somewhat sympathetic. This is astonishing and so very welcome given the way the novels fail us in that regard.
