Okay, so lj's latest updates or whatever were playing merry havoc with my layout so I switched it to one I used before, but I can't figure out how to change the color of the links/cut text text. When I go to the colors part of customize, I see nothing labeled as such and also no blue and pink boxes.

I will write a made to order ficlet of at least 500 words to anyone who can help me figure out how to change those font colors. I'd like the unclicked upon text to be a pink like in the middle square of the first vertical column and the clicked upon text to be a pink like the bottom square in the first vertical column. It looks like the clicked upon links are pretty much the color I want them, it's just the unclicked on ones that are wrong. The blue is killing me, y'all.

I knew I had stumbled upon this at some point, so I did a bit of poking around and found it again.
From your home page, go to the Journal drop down list and click Journal Style. At the bottom right of that page, click the button to Customize Selected Theme. From the left hand list, click Style. Then under Colors, click Text. You use the boxes there to put in the hexadecimal codes for the colors you want. Here's the link to the chart of colors. (http://howto.livejournal.com/28475.html)

Ooooooh. Thank you for the link of chart colors. :)

My problem is that on the Text page under colors, there is no box there for colors of links and cut text tags. I know there used to be because when I had this layout before I changed them to pink. But it's like they've disappeared or soemthing. Maybe they removed the option of changing that from this layout? IDK. *frustrating*

What would you like me to write for you for being such a sweetie? :)

Did you maybe go to the "Text" link that's listed beneath "Style" in the left margin? That one goes to options to do with naming your journal. Be sure you go to "Style", then pick "Colors" and click "Text" from that list. There are three boxes for the hexadecimal codes: "link color", "visited link color" and "active link color". I don't know if that will change the color for cut text tags, though. Just try it out, I s'pose.

I would love anything you'd care to write, but how would you feel about a Tom/Chakotay drabble? You mentioned them in your recs, and it brought back fond memories of back when I first got online and rediscovered fandom. I found a Voyager webring (remember those?) and read a lot of Tom /Chakotay.
Speaking of those two, somewhere in a box, if they're still any good, I have a stack of floppies whereon I saved a massive Highlander/ Voyager crossover called the "Just a Guy" 'verse. Voyager finds a derelict scout ship tumbling through space with Duncan and Methos aboard. Duncan promptly notices that young Tom is a potential Immortal, and the fun begins. If they're still viable and as good as I remember, maybe you'd like to take a look?

I remember those boxes from the last time I tweaked a layout, but they just aren't there now. LOL I wonder if this layout stopped allowing that or whatever. It's so frustrating because I know exactly what to do except that the boxes to change those color texts aren't there. *tears out hair* I'm hoping it's something to do with the weirdness that made me change my layout anyway (which was lj's suggested solution; change your layout because we're broken right now LOL) and will be fixed soon. I'll keep checking back that page to see if it pops up.

You are so sweet to offer to loan me those, but they'd be lost on me. I mean, I know there can be only one, but that's about the extent of my Highlander knowledge. :)
