New Girl
This show continues to be fabulous. The characters are so hilarious. This is one of the first shows I've ever watched where I feel like--these people are like me. They are silly like I am with my friends. They play ridiculous games and have inside jokes, and they fill my heart with utter joy. I am very glad that Nick and Jess have acknowledged their attraction but they aren't going anywhere with it. I do not want this show to suffer from the Moonlighting Syndrome. Schmidt continues to be the major draw for me. Love him.
Dexter
I was not a fan of Deb finding out. DID NOT WANT! I like Dexter almost getting caught but not getting caught. I was prepared to really not like this season. But then, the actor who plays Deb is so damn good. She knocked the whole WTF, you killed that guy bit out of the park. And they went whole hog and had her find out the whole story. I may just like this season after all. We'll see. I'm waiting for the intern to stop being just a creepy dick and actually try to hurt Angel's sister. DON'T WANT!
SPN
I don't even know what to say here. This episode was, um, uneven to say the least. The swing of the tonal pendulum made most of the show really bizarre and jarring to watch. When the scene cut to the flashback with the dog, Josh and I literally laughed out loud. That was the most ridiculous scene I have seen in a long time. The weird almost shouting of the lines, IDK, so silly. Also, I think Sam's whole--everyone was dead, I just quit--is totally legit and makes sense and is in itself a wellspring of angst and awesome. But he's not selling it AT ALL. So it sounds like he just went meh and got a sno-cone instead of giving a shit about Dean or Kevin. I do not know why the show is playing his choices that way. In other WTFery, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO SAMMY'S HAIR? IS HE CHANNELING ARAGORN? OMG, CUT YOUR HAIR PLEASE BECAUSE I DO NOT THINK I CAN SURVIVE A SEASON OF THIS HAIR. IT WILL LITERALLY KILL ME. NO SALT LINE CAN HOLD BACK THAT DOOM, SAMMY! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! I am totally intrigued about what happened to Dean in purgatory and what happened to Cas (why do I think Dean killed him?). I love the parallel brotherhood they've set up with Dean and the Leviathan he escaped with (he is a Leviathan, yes?). Dean is clearly hiding something, and I want to know what that is. I liked Amelia calling Sam on his shit, and Kevin is a doll and a half, and his snow job on Crowley was awesome. There were things I liked about this episode but more of a miss than a hit for me.
