When I was asking about pixie cuts, monanotlisa mentioned that a current picture might help with the decision. So here's a couple pictures of me on the back porch wearing that red shirt that executrix sent me.

But I see what you mean about your hair. ;) It's very shiny...but no volume, huh? Let me get back to you.

Zero volume.

When it's short, I can blow dry it upside down and spike it up with product if it's cut in a way to allow that, but mostly no volume.

I used to really want to wear my hair in a chignon, so I spent an unreasonable amount of time getting it to grow out. It never got very long, and it just slithered out of a chignon. Finally I just had it cut fairly short and discovered not only volume but near-Blakean CURLS. From which I developed the axiom that you might as well figure out what your hair wants to do and decide you want it, otherwise you're going to turn into a product-based lifeform that still only has the hair you thought you want long enough to take one Instagram.

Omg, I hear you. I have tried to have long hair so many times and its just unfortunate. Its too thin and it starts to look like squirrels have been gnawing on the ends before long.

I just got back from the Women's Day demo and I am wearing my OTHER red shirt* although yours looks MUCH better on you than this one does on me.

*As a fangirl I can't help remember what happens to redshirts.

In all fairness, I only had to take the PATH train a couple of stops to get there, I don't know if I would have bothered if any significant journey had been involved.
