2. I am getting back in the groove of exercising the way I want to: biked for 50 minutes, ran 2 miles on the elliptical, arm weights. Feeling good.

3. I finished big project at work! I have been receiving good feedback for my work so far. No matter the ultimate fate or verdict, it's done. So, so done and happy about that.

4. I cannot believe how much conversation I got out of my Jane Eyre shitpost. Love it, love y'all. :)

Karl Urban does such a good job reprising that role. He seems enough like the original while still doing his own thing. (And he is not hard to look at either!)

I really like Crusher, too. I'm pleased to see so many people putting her so high in their rankings. I love that she got to play so many roles: doc, love interest to Picard, mom to Wesley, researcher/investigator, BFF to Deanna.

DeForest Kelly had such a good delivery. That sarcasm, that belligerence that disguises affection. An iconic actor in an iconic role.

I really like Karl Urban's reprisal, too, but nothing can touch the original.

Shatner still looks OK but he's a jerk! The last time I saw the guy that played Chekov he was on Babylon 5. The guy that played Sulu still looks OK too. They were all in there 30's when they played these parts.

Yeah, it was really upsetting to me when I realized that Shatner is a jerk. I love the fiction of all the actors on my fave shows, especially ensemble ones, also being friends in real life. That's one of the reasons I don't delve too deeply into actor lives; I really don't want to find anything out about them that detracts from their performances for me.

I've spent several years aware that the cast of TNG carefully markets an image of them all being best buds. Which they might well be anyway, but it's definitely an image they're invested in presenting.

I have actually seen the error of my ways since then and would like to see the show. Who knows when it'll happen though. LOL I can barely manage to watch currently airing TV.

mute the theme song! i always did.

apparently the music over the end credits was an acoustic version & a much better tune. a few people did vids on youtube with the opening credits & that music.

BTW when i saw scott bakula at dragon con in 2010 he siad for like a month or six weeks some guy stood outside of paramount studios with a sign that said "love the show, hate the theme song."
